Encountering Innovation Week 2018 provided innovators the opportunity to present and showcase their technology.

Department of Defense Tech Scouts listened to pitches, examined poster board displays, discussed government needs during Forum Day, and met with innovators during Evening Networking Events.
 
Tech Scouts expressed interest in much of the technology they saw, and they will continue to engage with innovators. Some of the highlights of EI Week 2018 include:
 

• Tech scouts requested additional information from 13 of 63 innovators for urgent review

• Tech scouts agreed to refer 50 of 63 innovators to various government and non-government agencies

• 12 innovators presented poster board displays

• A total of 63 innovators attended to present their ideas to tech scouts
