Encountering Innovation Week 2017 connected innovators from seven states with Department of Defense Tech Scouts and with each other. As the photos show, the event was a high energy, collaborative experience from beginning to end.

Tech Scouts expressed interest in much of the technology they saw during Encountering Innovation Week 2017, and they will continue to engage with innovators. They have:
 

• Requested additional information from 22 of 57 innovators for an urgent review

• Agreed to refer 40 of 57 innovators to various government and non-government agencies

• Requested pitch packages from 49 of 57 innovators for further review and potential commercialization
