Encountering Innovation Week 2020

Virtual Event hosted by Kansas SBDC at Johnson County Community College

Due to COVID-19, this in-person event turned in to a week long virtual event for all tech scouts, innovators, resource partners, and the public. Although the event had a different view than normal, it was still a success! The innovators were still able to pitch their ideas and the tech scouts continued to provide feedback and valuable information.

This event successfully provided 61 innovators from 14 different states with access to 20 tech scouts. Each innovator presented a 20 minute pitch and 5 minute demo of their innovation.

Altogether, there were 117 attendees, 14 mainstage sessions, 7 structured networking events, and 4 evenings of exhibit hall networking. We look forward to seeing you all at the 2021 Encountering Innovation event!
